There is a large choice of office chairs currently available online and in stores because researchers have come to realise that the design of a chair can affect the performance of the user, therefore affecting worker’s productivity during their working day.

Before ergonomic office chairs were invented by office furniture manufacturers, office workers would complain about back ache, hand strain and headaches, as a result of sitting in an uncomfortable office chair for long periods of time. But now, these health issues can be easily prevented when an employer replaces or buys new office chairs. An ergonomic chair will be height adjustable to suit the individual user, support the back and lumbar and have adjustable head and armrests.

Another item of office furniture that may not be given a lot of attention is the office storage. Employers may think that a normal cabinet is sufficient storage for all their important documents. However they may realise that it is false economy to buy a cheap cabinet. Documents need to be stored safely and securely.
